Werner state (two-qubit)

The Werner state ρ_W(p) = p|Ψ⁻⟩⟨Ψ⁻| + (1−p)I/4: a one-parameter family interpolating between the maximally entangled singlet and the maximally mixed state, historically significant as the first known example separating entanglement from Bell-inequality violation.

Method
The density matrix ρ_W(p) = p|Ψ⁻⟩⟨Ψ⁻| + (1−p)I/4 was checked to be a valid density matrix (Hermitian, trace 1, positive semidefinite) for all p∈[0,1] by direct eigenvalue computation, and its partial transpose's eigenvalues were computed in closed form to confirm the p ≤ 1/3 separability threshold in the singlet-fraction convention used here.
Result
Pass · ρ_W(p) has eigenvalues {p+(1-p)/4 (×1, on the singlet), (1-p)/4 (×3, on the triplet)}, all non-negative for p∈[0,1]; the partial transpose has a negative eigenvalue exactly when p>1/3, matching the known PPT-separability threshold for this state family.
