Where the map uses this

This record is an instance of an object the map names, so these are the processes that consume or produce one. None of them is about this record in particular.

Method
ρ = I/2^n was checked to be trace 1, Hermitian, and to have all 2^n eigenvalues equal to 1/2^n by direct inspection; equivalence to (a) a uniform classical mixture of computational-basis states and (b) the reduced state of one half of any maximally entangled pair (obtained by partial trace) was checked by direct matrix computation for n=1.
Result
Pass · I/2^n has trace 1, is positive semidefinite with all eigenvalues 1/2^n, and both the classical-mixture and partial-trace constructions reproduce I/2 exactly for a single qubit.
