Primary source: makes the previously implicit algorithm explicit, extends it from e^(2πi/5) to any primitive root of unity e^(2πi/k), and states the running time as polynomial in m, n and k. The authors also flag the Potts model partition function as a candidate for the same approach.

Method
Curation only. The problem statement was recorded from the literature; the speedup class is not yet checked against the record's own primary paper; the primary reference's title, authors and submission year were read from its arXiv abs page; the complexity claim was taken from a clause of that paper's abstract (Abstract of arXiv:quant-ph/0511096: "an explicit and simple polynomial quantum algorithm to approximate the Jones polynomial of an n-strands braid with m crossings at any primitive root of unity ... where the running time of the algorithm is polynomial in m,n and k". The abstract gives no exponent, no constant, and no numeric size for the additive approximation window.). No circuit was constructed, simulated or run.
Result
Pass · the record's problem, speedup class and primary reference agree with the two sources named above.
Caveat
The word additive is load-bearing and left unquantified: neither the Zoo entry nor the abstract states how large the approximation window is, so this record does not establish that the output is useful as a multiplicative estimate of the Jones polynomial. The BQP-completeness quoted by the Zoo is for the plat closure of a braid at e^(2πi/5); the Zoo separately reports that the trace closure at the same point is DQC1-complete, so the closure convention changes the complexity claim. Nothing here was compiled, simulated or run: no braid instance, qubit count, circuit depth, or exponent for the polynomial in m, n and k is attached, and BQP-completeness is a statement about quantum hardness, not evidence about any device.
